DAYS Fan Weekend 2001

Kristian joins her castmates for "Breakfast with Friends" at the annual DAYS fan weekend in Los Angeles. More photos from that and other fan events in the fan club gallery.

The weekend of June 2, 2001, the Days of our Lives fan club along with many of the stars of the show hosted their annual fan events here in Los Angeles.  Kristian appeared bright-eyed and bushy-tailed on Saturday morning at Austin Peck's "Breakfast with Friends," which has held at the Castaway Restaurant high atop a mountain overlooking the San Fernando Valley.  Kudos to the fan club for the new and improved format, which was much less structured than in the past and contained the crowd to a manageable size.   It gave Kristian and the other actors a chance to interact with the fans on a more informal and intimate basis, which everyone seemed to appreciate and enjoy.

The actors appeared in shifts, with Kristian arriving in one of the earlier groups to deafening cheers from the crowd. Onstage, she fielded dozens of questions from the fans, one of whom inquired whether she thought it was right that Hope was keeping the truth about JT's paternity from Bo.  Kristian replied, "Well, keep in mind, Hope has put up with alot from Bo in the past.  She walked in on him in bed with another woman!"  Needless to say, her response met with a hearty round of applause (led by me!).  Kristian then went on to explain that Hope's reasoning in lying to Bo is that she fears if the truth about John were to come out, it would destroy two families and several friendships.  She allowed, however, that Hope is struggling with her conscience over her decision and reminded the crowd that she was just about to spill the beans when half the town exploded.  Now, of course, she's a little preoccupied with JT's whereabouts.  On a brighter note, she did add that Hope would be getting JT back very soon.  And for all those who felt Hope was a little too harsh with Jennifer last week, you are in good company.  When queried about it, Kristian cringed and said, "Oh, those scenes were so mean!"

Afterwards, Kristian joined Suzanne Rogers at the autograph table where, as always, she graciously greeted the fans, took pictures, and signed autographs.  Her line was easily one of the longest, and though she stayed well past the appointed cut-off time for her shift, Kristian was sure to make time for every fan who wanted the chance to meet her.  A fine time was had by all, especially Kristian, who once again made nothing less than a stellar impression on everyone in the room.
