This
past May, Bo and Hope fans from around the globe descended uppon
the Sportsmen's Lodge in Studio City to celebrate 20 years of the
greatest couple in
all
of daytime. Kristian and Peter both had a blast, as much fun as their fans,
with trivia games, Q&A sessions, autograph signings and more. We've got plenty
of pics in the photo
gallery, all courtesy of Nakitha B., Joyce N., and Jason S. --
thanks
guys! Here, fan club member, Virna B., reports from the field.
People started lining up for the Bo and
Hope luncheon at least an hour beforethe doors opened. I could see
how excited people were about seeing Peterand Kristian in person,
some for the first time. We could see the ladies from both fan clubs
setting up the room, and they did a very nice job withthe decorations.
The theme of the event was Mardi Gras. Of course, you all know how
special New Orleans is to Bo and Hope. One of the ladies from Peter's
fan club (Tracey) actually made a backdrop of Oak Alley.
We came in and got to
our tables. Shortly after, Peter and Kristian were introduced and
they came to the podium to greet the fans. Peter thanked the fans
for voting for them on SOD. They truly appreciate the fans' support.
They immediately started taking questions from the audience, and
at the same time asked each table to sing a song with the word LOVE
in it so that they could go and eat (we had a buffet). That was pretty
funny how people would sing all these songs. I could only come up
with all these Beatles songs,
which
were actually taken LOL.

One fan sitting at a table
near the podium told Kristian how she'd hurt her ankle just a few days
earlier and that there was no way she could walk through the
buffet
line. So Kristian grabbed a plate (the buffet was right behind them) and
asked her what she wanted! The woman asked what was there and Kristian
started rattling off the menu and heaping food on the woman's plate when she
said what she wanted. Kristian is such a good
sport!
Anyway, while we were
getting our food, Peter and Kristian did the Q&A and were asked
about Reilly. Peter explained that he understands the fans' concerns
about it because frankly he felt the same way when he first heard
about it, but Kristian reminded him that he did write some powerful
stuff for
B&H, so they are hoping for the best. However, they are LOVING their current
storyline, and hinted about the Fancy Face, as well as their new career as Bounty
Hunters (now cops).
Kristianis SO excited that Hope is out
of the house. You can tell they have been really enjoying this story
a lot. They were asked if Andrew (Masset, Larry) would be coming
back, and they said yes, that they felt he was a great villain (so
do I) and Peter said he read some of Andrew's upcoming lines and
they are hilarious (I saw him too that weekend, and my heart just
stopped
for
a second. What a handsome man he is).
Ok, back to the event:
Kristian is the most down-to-earth, sweetest lady. She shared with
us how much she loves Frances Reid and how she is like a grandmother
to her since Kristian doesn't have grandparents anymore. She was
all teary-eyed when she was talking to us, and we couldn't help but
get all teary-eyed with her. She also shared the story about the
last time she ice skated. She had taken Gino to skate and he was
in awe of this guy who was doing all these jumps, and she told Gino
she could do better than him and he was
like "Oh sure, Mom" and she went ahead and did her jump and landed perfectly
and Gino was like, "That's my mommy!"

It's obvious that Kristian
adores her family and she told us how much she treasures her weekends
because that is her time with them. She told us Jack was then 10 months
old, and Peter shared that Gino was actually graduating the weekend of
the Nashville Fan Fair. Kristian explained that is the reason she would
not be able to attend, which was totally understandable. She was also
asked
how she keeps her beautiful figure and Peter said, "She is the mother
of
three." Kristian concurred that running around after three boys from morning
til night does go along way to keeping her in shape.
Peter was asked about
Kelly singing on the show during B&H's romantic dance and Kristian
told us how nervous he was but she reminded him that Kelly is a professional
and put his mind at ease. Peter admitted he was a nervous wreck but
agreed that he was just doing his job and Kelly hers. He was also
asked if he would be recording another CD and he said he has way
too many CDs sitting in his garage. They both told funny stories
about things that happen behind the scenes, like how Kristian fell
on top of Peter when they were doing the Oak Alley scenes after getting
tangled on the sheets, or how he flew from one side of the bed to
the other when they were in bed wrapped in satin sheets. They do
seem to have a lot of fun together.
They were given some fan awards. The Shawn
and Belle fans (known as the Shellies) presented them with the Doolie
awards that they won and they both seemed very moved by them. They
had no idea about it, so they were surprised. Also, Joyce N. presented
them with some Oscars she had made for them on
behalf of the B&H fans. She told them that they deserved them for all the
years of great performances they have given us.
Then, they started taking
pictures and signing autographs. They each took the time to talk
and greet the fans. One lucky fan won a studio tour with Peter as
her guide. Once all the fans had their pictures taken as well as
their pictures signed, they thanked the fans for coming and making
this so special for them. Peter had to leave because he had a plane
to catch, and Kristian stayed a little while longer to chat with
those who stayed. She wanted to make sure all of us had a great time,
and they didn't disappoint. Kristian is a great lady, and oh so beautiful.
Peter looks smaller in person than he is on TV. But they are both
gorgeous people.
Kristian is so sweet,
genuine and caring, and loved spending time with all of us. Peter
was in good spirits and seemed to enjoy himself as well. Overall,
it was a
great
event.
